Sewing at the Beach 2012 will run from Monday, January 16, through Saturday, January 21, 2012.   Pre-day classes, both hand and machine will be offered on Monday, January 16 and Tuesday, January 17.   Classes are geared for all sewers, both novice and advanced, both hand and machine.  Classes start daily at 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.  Night classes start at 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Students will be able to choose from a selection of classes during the four day school.   A student may take four days of all machine sewing, all hand sewing, or a combination.  Classes will be taught by Terri Click, Connie Palmer, Jan Kerton, Shelly Smola, Gail Doane, Kathy Farmer, Maxi Lardiere, Margaret Fain, Hope Yoder, Beverly Clement and Laura Jenkins Thompson.   Since requests for classes are filled on a “first-come, first-served” basis, be sure to send your registration form in as soon as possible.  

 Night classes will be held Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday evenings when additional hand and machine techniques will be offered as optional 3-hour classes.  

Here are some of the other highlights planned for Sewing at the Beach 2012.   On Tuesday evening, there will be a teacher selling night.  Come and meet the teachers and purchase some of their great work.  A Market with vendors ranging from sewing machine dealers to specialty item retailers will officially run from Monday through Saturday and be held in the exhibition hall.   Luncheons for all participants will be held Monday through Saturday.  On Saturday evening, there will be a Fashion Show of garments made by students and teachers followed by a Southern Buffet Banquet.  Other festivities will include Live Auction and Raffle items.
